There are a host of other trails and you can look them up online. This is a relatively easy trail and since it loops around, you see 360 degrees of beauty in all directions! Depending where you start or end the hike, you will be at another vortex site at Airport Mesa. Thankfully, you rarely see the airport as the trail is just below the rim of the mesa. A great photo opportunity!Īirport Mesa – This trail literally loops around the Sedona airport. This is a natural bridge you can walk across. Parking is limited but folks just park on the road. Hundreds of folks do it every day and have a blast.ĭevils Bridge – A big tourist favorite. You are hiking in a “crack” in the rock at an angle. There is one 50 foot stretch that is precarious. This is a fun hike and stunning views towards the top. Ensure you are wearing a hat, as you always should while hiking.Ĭathedral Rock – Another vortex site, and probably one of the most photographed. This site has limited trees so the hike is out in the open. Bell Rock is a vortex site so the energy is wonderful. There is also a hidden cave up there and a natural, “recliner” chair made from stone.īell Rock Trail – This trail is located just south of Sedona in the Village of Oak Creek. What is very nice about this one is you can walk through the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park, a Hindu temple, along the way. There is also a parking fee at this particular trailhead.Ĭhimney Rock/Thunder Mountain - A few blocks from my home is the Chimney Rock/Thunder Mountain Trail. (Make sure you have shoes that can get wet!) Unfortunately, parking is very limited so you want to get there early. Westfork Trail – This one is great when it’s extremely hot outside because you cross Oak Creek about a dozen times and most of the trail is shaded. Hiking is one of the most popular things to do outdoors in Sedona! There are over 150 trails in the area and there are breathtaking views on all of them! (I have not been on all of them myself, but certainly a lot of them.) Here are a few of my favorites: I'm certain many of them are on your checklist, but there may be some that you didn't know about. I have recently put together this list of my favorite things to do in Sedona.
